This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Early this Morning through Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon, mainly along and south of Interstate 80. Severe weather is not anticipated, though wind gusts of near 40 mph and brief locally heavy rainfall are possible.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Fox River.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday…

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.

Thursday…

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.

Friday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

Monday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Heat index readings will return to above 100 degrees on Independence Day and Thursday.

Scattered afternoon thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday may produce localized areas of heavy rain and possible flash flooding.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Fox River through midweek.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
