This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:    Elevated hail risk...up to 1 inch.    Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.  Limited Flooding Risk.  High Swim Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected across much of the area. The greatest threat for severe thunderstorms will mainly be for the portions of the outlook area in northwestern Indiana. Some of the stronger storms may produce large hail and strong, damaging winds. Some thunderstorms may also produce heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

High waves will create dangerous swimming conditions at the Illinois Lake Michigan beaches through late this morning.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk  High Swim Risk

Sunday…
