This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk  High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION…

Periods of showers and a few thunderstorms are expected across much of the area. Brief heavy downpours will be possible with some of the stronger storms.

North winds up to 25 mph will build waves up to 4 to 7 feet along the Illinois and Indiana shores of Lake Michigan. This will cause dangerous rip currents at area beaches as well as a chance for lakeshore flooding and water or spray reaching roads and bike paths near Lake Michigan.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.
