This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited Damaging Wind Risk...up to 60 mph. Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Excessive heat Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Periods of thunderstorms will occur today and into early to mid evening. Storms are likely to have at least 30 to 35 mph gusts, and some stronger storms could have 45 to 60 mph gusts. Also, storms are likely to have brief heavy rain that could lead to isolated flash flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

High Swim Risk
Tuesday and Wednesday…
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION:
High waves could lead to dangerous swimming conditions on Lake Michigan beaches Friday morning, and possibly continuing along Indiana beaches into the afternoon.
