This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk

DISCUSSION…

There is a chance of a few thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly south of I-80. Severe weather is not expected.

North winds 15 to 25 mph will result in waves of 4 to 6 feet along the Illinois and Indiana shores of Lake Michigan through early this evening. This will cause dangerous rip currents at area beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the south southwest at 20 to 30 mph.
