This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to spread into far northern Illinois late this evening into the overnight hours. The primary threat from these storms will be cloud to ground lightning and heavy rain.

In addition, heat indices could approach 100 degrees this afternoon from the far western suburbs of Chicago south to Pontiac and then west to the Mississippi River.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday and Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Monday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday…

Limited Coastal Flood Risk  High Swim Risk

Wednesday and Thursday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
