This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Scattered thunderstorms are possible mainly through early evening and primarily south of I-80. Isolated thunderstorms are possible overnight north and west of Chicago.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Thursday night and Friday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk in the morning.  Limited to Elevated Excessive Heat Risk, highest concerns west.

Sunday…

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

Monday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

While a thunderstorm cannot completely be ruled out Thursday through Saturday morning and again by Monday afternoon, the chances of storms appear quite low. The primary weather hazard this upcoming weekend will likely be the potentially dangerous heat. On both Saturday and Sunday heat indices appear likely to climb above 100 degrees during the afternoon, with very warm and humid conditions offering very little relief from the heat during the nighttime hours.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
