…FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING…
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
Portions of Illinois and northwest Indiana, including the following areas, in Illinois, Boone, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, La Salle, Lake IL, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Will, and Winnebago. In northwest Indiana, Lake IN and Porter.
Until 10 AM CDT this morning
Periods of heavy rain will continue to be possible through mid morning. Given the recent heavy rainfall amounts, any additional heavy rain may produce localized flash flooding.
Area rivers and streams are running high, which will means rainfall will more quickly go into runoff.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
