This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Temperatures will remain warm, especially in the city of Chicago, with humid conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Friday.

Monday…

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.

Tuesday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Thursday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.

Friday and Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Temperatures will warm to the low to mid 90s on Monday. This combined with dewpoints in the 70s will result in dangerous heat indices of 100 to 105 area wide, with highest confidence south and west.

Thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible, with heavy rainfall also expected. Heavy rain from thunderstorms is also possible Monday night, mainly north of Interstate 80, and then again Tuesday, mainly along and south of I-80. This may lead to flash flooding.
