DISCUSSION…
Temperatures in the low to mid 90s and dewpoints in the 70s will result in dangerous heat indices of 100 to 110 area wide.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms are expected this afternoon. A few storms may become strong and produce gusty winds and brief, heavy downpours.

DISCUSSION:
Temperatures will warm to the low to mid 90s on Monday. This combined with dewpoints in the 70s will result in dangerous heat indices of 100 to 105 area wide, with highest confidence south and west.
Thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible, with heavy rainfall also expected. Heavy rain from thunderstorms is also possible Tuesday, which may lead to flash flooding.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
