Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Flooding Risk. High Swim Risk Illinois Shore.
Tuesday…
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk Late Afternoon and Evening. Elevated Flooding Risk. High Swim Risk early Illinois shores.
Wednesday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk early.
Thursday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday…
Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Showers and thunderstorms… some with heavy rainfall will return very late Monday night and early Tuesday. Additional showers and storms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening… some of these storms may be severe… and produce damaging winds and hail. Storms later on Tuesday and Tuesday night will also be capable of producing heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding.
Hot and humid weather will return later in the week and into next weekend. Heat index values may soar well into the 90s by Thursday and over 100 Friday and Saturday.
Several area rivers will remain in flood… with additional rises on rivers possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
