This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Elevated Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Temperatures into the mid to upper 90s are expected today. This combined with dewpoints in the 70s will result in dangerous heat indices of 100 to 110 area wide.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.

Monday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Flooding Risk.  Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday…

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Wednesday through Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Temperatures will warm to the low to mid 90s on Monday. This combined with dewpoints in the 70s will result in dangerous heat indices of 100 to 105 area wide, with highest confidence south and west.

Thunderstorms are expected Monday afternoon and evening. An isolated strong to severe thunderstorm is possible, with heavy rainfall also expected.
