This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Early this Morning through Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive heat Risk.  Significant Fog Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Areas of fog will dissipate this morning.

Temperatures in the upper 80s combined with dewpoints around 70 will result in heat index readings of 90-95 away from the lake.

There is a slight chance of non-severe storms after midnight tonight along and west of Interstate 39.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Friday through Wednesday.

Friday and Saturday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Extreme Excessive Heat Risk.

Sunday through Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Temperatures in the middle to upper 90s combined with dewpoints in the middle 70s to around 80 degrees will combine to cause heat index readings in the 105 to 115 degree range. The highest heat indices will be Friday and Saturday afternoon.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the southeast at 25-30 MPH.
