This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk Tonight...with an associated: Limited hail risk...up to Nickel size. Limited damaging wind risk...up to 50 mph. High Swim Risk Tonight
DISCUSSION…
Thunderstorms are likely to develop across the area late tonight into Tuesday morning. While severe weather is not anticipated with these storms a few isolated strong storms could produce hail and gusty winds. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible with these storms.
Some area rivers will remain in flood.

Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk During the Evening. Elevated Flooding Risk. High Swim Risk early.
Wednesday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk early.
Thursday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Significant Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday and Sunday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms will likely be ongoing Tuesday morning, these storms may produce locally heavy rainfall and possibly some gusty winds and small hail. Another round of thunderstorms are likely to impact the area very late Tuesday afternoon or more likely Tuesday evening. While these storms will also be very heavy rain producers, there is also an increased threat that some of these storms will be severe with strong damaging winds and possibly some hail.
Given the wet conditions of late and the possibility for more heavy rainfall, localized flash flooding will be possible through Tuesday night.
Temperatures and humidity levels will be on the increase later in the week. This looks to result in heat indices climbing well into the 90s by Thursday and to potentially to dangerous levels of 105 to 110 degrees Friday and Saturday.
Several area rivers will remain in flood… with additional rises on rivers possible Tuesday and Wednesday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the north northeast around 20 mph late tonight.
