This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited to Elevated Excessive heat Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Dangerous heat with temperatures in the low to mid 90s and heat indices of 97-105 are expected Saturday. Thunderstorms close to Lake Michigan this morning will taper, but isolated storms are again possible this afternoon across the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.

Monday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

Tuesday through Friday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Dangerous heat with temperatures in the mid 90s and heat indices of 97-106 are expected through Monday. Sunday is the day with the highest confidence for the warmest heat index readings due to the lack of possible thunderstorms, though some areas may get close to the higher heat index values mentioned for a time.

Strong to locally severe storms capable of strong winds and large hail are possible Monday.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
