This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk through early evening.
DISCUSSION…
A few thunderstorms will be possible over northeastern IL through early this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday through Monday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A west to east oriented stationary frontal boundary will settle across the area Thursday into the weekend. While rainfall will not be continuous, this boundary will likely be the focus for a few rounds of thunderstorms. Some scattered thunderstorms will be possible along this boundary Thursday afternoon. These chances will be primarily to the south of I-80. Some isolated wind gusts and heavy downpours will be possible with these storms.
A better chance of thunderstorms is expected Friday and into Friday night. Some of these storms Friday afternoon and evening could be strong and may produce torrential downpours.
Additional periods of storms will be possible through early next week, but several periods of dry time can be expected.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
