THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR North Central Illinois… Northeast Illinois AND Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Fog Risk.  High Swim Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A sharp cold front will push south across the area this morning through mid-afternoon. Gusty north to northeast winds behind the front will build waves on Lake Michigan, which will produce hazardous swimming conditions through early Saturday. As cool air spreads in behind the front, low clouds and fog will affect areas especially near the Lake Michigan shore. Farther south, a few isolated thunderstorms will be possible near the front during the midday and early afternoon hours, mainly south of a Pontiac to Rensselaer line.

Saturday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  High Swim Risk.

Sunday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Wednesday and Thursday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
