This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will form in the vicinity of a
lake breeze advancing inland through mid afternoon. The thunderstorms
should dissipate during the 500 PM to 600 PM CDT hour. The main
thunderstorm threats are occasional cloud to ground lightning and
heavy downpours. While severe weather is not expected, if any
stronger thunderstorm can form, brief gusty winds will be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
High Swim Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Widely scattered thunderstorms are possible on Friday. Due to
moderate to potentially strong instability, there may be a
few strong to severe storms.

Northeast winds on Saturday may result in high waves and
dangerous swimming conditions on Lake Michigan beaches.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 15 mph.
