This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A few isolated thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and
early evening mainly along and west of Interstate 39, with a bit
higher chance for storms along this corridor after midnight. Lower
storm chances also exist farther southeast toward Interstate 55
overnight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Saturday afternoon and evening...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Sunday through Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
The highest expected coverage of thunderstorms over the weekend is
on Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening ahead of a cold
front. This could include a risk for isolated strong to severe
thunderstorms with a localized strong wind concern for portions
of northern and central Illinois. In addition, heavy downpours in
thunderstorms could cause localized flash flooding, though we do
not anticipate widespread flooding concerns.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
