This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A brief break in shower and storm chances is expected into the mid
afternoon but thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage
thereafter into the evening hours. The strongest storms will pose
a risk for localized damaging wind gusts into the early evening
hours.
Additional storms will be possible through this evening although
the severe threat is expected to diminish. While we do not
anticipate widespread flooding concerns given the dry ground,
there will be a threat for repeated storm cells over urban areas
could lead to urban and small stream flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday and Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Monday is forecast to have the highest coverage of thunderstorms
during the work week, with potentially some risk for strong
thunderstorms and localized flooding.
