Isolated to perhaps widely scattered thunderstorms will be
possible after midnight Friday night mainly northwest of I-55.

The highest expected coverage of thunderstorms over the weekend
is on Saturday afternoon through Saturday night ahead of a cold
front. This could include a risk for isolated strong to severe
thunderstorms for portions of northern and central Illinois. In
addition, heavy downpours in thunderstorms could cause localized
flash flooding.
