The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
Flood Advisory for… Southern and Central McHenry County in northeastern Illinois…
Until 630 AM CDT
At 331 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rainfall due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Radar estimates suggest that one to locally two inches of rain has fallen already with additional rainfall expected.
Some locations that will experience minor flooding include… Algonquin, McHenry, Woodstock, Island Lake, Marengo, Lake In The Hills, Huntley, Lakewood, Oakwood Hills, Prairie Grove, Bull Valley, Holiday Hills, Trout Valley, Fox River Valley Gardens, Crystal Lake, Cary, Fox River Grove, Barrington Hills and Union.
