THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL
6 AM CST MONDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* TIMING...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACROSS NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA WILL EXIT LATE THIS EVENING. BLOWING SNOW
BECOMING RAPIDLY MORE WIDESPREAD LATE THIS EVENING AND
PERSISTING OVERNIGHT.

* WINDS...INCREASING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 50 MPH
TONIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE THIS EVENING.

* MAIN IMPACTS...GUSTY WINDS TONIGHT WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW...WHICH ALONG WITH THE SNOW THIS
EVENING...WILL LEAD TO BLIZZARD LIKE CONDITIONS AT
TIMES...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AND RURAL AREAS. TRAVEL WILL BE
DANGEROUS.

* OTHER IMPACTS...RAPIDLY FALLING TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY LEAD TO
FREEZING OF WET ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY UNTREATED ONES..THIS
EVENING.
