NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...OVERNIGHT.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ANY ISOLATED ICE JAMS...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE KANKAKEE RIVER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

SOME LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA...MAINLY
MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

THERE IS INCREASING POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW
EVENT ALONG THE SOUTHERN SHORES OF LAKE MICHIGAN MONDAY NIGHT
INTO TUESDAY. AT THIS TIME PORTIONS OF PORTER COUNTY LOOK TO
RECEIVE THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS...WITH THE SNOW BAND
POSSIBLY IMPACTING PORTIONS OF LAKE COUNTY INDIANA AT TIMES.
NORTHEASTERN NEWTON AND NORTHERN JASPER COUNTIES MAY ALSO RECEIVE
ACCUMULATING SNOW.

ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT SHOT OF COLD ARCTIC AIR IS EXPECTED TO
OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS WEEK. OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MORNING WIND
CHILLS COULD DROP BELOW -20 MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

IN ADDITION...LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN
POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR ISOLATED ICE JAMS...PARTICULARLY ALONG
THE KANKAKEE RIVER.
