A POWERFUL COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE REGION THIS EVENING.
WIND GUSTS 40 TO 50 MPH FOR A FEW HOUR PERIOD IMMEDIATELY BEHIND
THE FRONT ARE EXPECTED. SNOW SHOWERS WILL ADD SOME ADDITIONAL
LIGHT ACCUMULATION...WHICH WILL FURTHER SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW WITH WHITEOUT CONDITIONS LIKELY AT TIMES...
ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

WIND CHILLS WILL DROP TO 25 BELOW TO 35 BELOW ZERO LATE TONIGHT.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ANY ISOLATED ICE JAMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

WIND CHILLS OF 25 BELOW TO 35 BELOW ZERO WILL OCCUR MONDAY
MORNING THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH A PERIOD OF WIND
CHILLS NEAR 40 BELOW ZERO IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS MONDAY
MORNING...THEN AGAIN MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ISOLATED ICE JAMS.
