THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.
LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA LATE THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATIONS ALONG AND NORTH OF A DIXON TO
KANKAKEE LINE WILL BE AROUND 1 INCH...WITH UP TO ONE HALF INCH
SOUTH OF THIS LINE. THERE WILL BE A NARROW AREA NORTH OF A
BELVIDERE TO EVANSTON LINE THAT COULD RECEIVE UP TO 2 INCHES OF
SNOWFALL THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
WIND CHILLS OF 20 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ZERO ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT. IN
ADDITION FRESH SNOWFALL AND GUSTY WINDS TO 35 MPH MAY CAUSE AREAS
OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH TONIGHT.
LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ANY ISOLATED ICE JAMS...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE KANKAKEE RIVER.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
WIND CHILLS OF 20 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING. WIND CHILLS TO 30 BELOW ZERO ARE POSSIBLE AGAIN
THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING.
PERIODIC CHANCES FOR SNOW WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY THROUGH THE
UPCOMING WEEKEND.
GUSTY WINDS UP TO 50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY...AND MAY CREATE
