THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

UP TO AN INCH OF SNOW...HIGHEST NEAR THE WISCONSIN BORDER...WILL
BE ACCOMPANIED BY SOUTH SOUTHWEST WIND GUSTS UP TO 40-45 MPH
TODAY. THESE STRONG WINDS COULD RESULT IN SOME BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW IN OPEN AREAS. WINDS WILL ALSO MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT
FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ANY ISOLATED ICE JAMS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

A PERIOD OF LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE ON FRIDAY
ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. THIS WILL BE FOLLOWED BY YET
ANOTHER PERIOD OF POTENTIALLY MORE SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATING SNOW
FOR MOST OF THE AREA FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ACROSS MUCH OF THE
AREA. IN PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA...A
WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...RAIN OR FREEZING RAIN IS POSSIBLE ON
SATURDAY. LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS MAY OCCUR.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ISOLATED ICE JAMS.
