.A STRONG ARCTIC COLD FRONT CROSSING NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA BY EARLY THIS EVENING WILL USHER IN ANOTHER
ROUND OF VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR. TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY DROP WITH
THE FRONTAL PASSAGE AND CONTINUE TO FALL TO AROUND 5 TO 10 DEGREES
BELOW ZERO OVERNIGHT. COMBINED WITH GUSTY WINDS BETWEEN 25 AND 35
MPH...DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES OF 20 TO 30 BELOW ZERO ARE
EXPECTED THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE THURSDAY MORNING. WITH THE
FRESH POWDERY SNOWFALL...THE GUSTY WINDS OVERNIGHT WILL PRODUCE
SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHICAGO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM
CST THURSDAY.

FOR THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...

* NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 35 MPH WILL CREATE BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW WHICH MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO ONE HALF MILE OR
LESS AT TIMES. SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH
EARLY THIS EVENING WITH UP TO ONE HALF INCH OF SNOW ACCUMULATION
POSSIBLE.

* ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
AREAS...WITH SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

FOR THE WIND CHILL WARNING...

* WIND CHILL VALUES...WILL DROP TO AROUND 30 BELOW ZERO OVERNIGHT
AND REMAIN BETWEEN 20 BELOW AND 25 BELOW ZERO LATE TONIGHT
THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA CAN OCCUR IN A MATTER OF

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE WIND WILL COMBINE WITH VERY COLD
AIR TO CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS WILL RESULT
IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR DEATH IF PRECAUTIONS ARE
