THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS EXPECTED TODAY AS WINDS PICK UP
OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST.

LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR
ANY ISOLATED ICE JAMS...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE KANKAKEE RIVER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

SOME ACCUMULATING SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY AND
MONDAY EVENING.

THERE IS INCREASING POTENTIAL OF A SIGNIFICANT LAKE EFFECT SNOW
EVENT ALONG THE SOUTHERN SHORES OF LAKE MICHIGAN MONDAY NIGHT INTO
TUESDAY. UNCERTAINTY REMAINS...BUT THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR
PORTIONS OF NORTHWESTERN INDIANA TO RECEIVE SOME SIGNIFICANT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY.

ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT SHOT OF COLD ARCTIC AIR IS EXPECTED TO
OVERSPREAD THE AREA THIS WEEK. OVERNIGHT AND EARLY MORNING WIND
CHILLS COULD DROP BELOW -20 MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

IN ADDITION...LOCALIZED RIVER FLOODING WILL REMAIN
POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY NEAR ISOLATED ICE JAMS...PARTICULARLY ALONG
THE KANKAKEE RIVER.
