This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk late tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Showers and possibly some embedded thunderstorms will be possible
late tonight mainly north and west of I-55. Severe weather is not
expected, but locally heavy rainfall will be possible under any
storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Showers and thunderstorms will linger through Sunday morning.
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will then be possible Sunday
afternoon and evening. Any storms that develop could be strong to
near severe with a threat for gusty winds and small hail.
A strong weather system is expected to bring widespread rain and
thunderstorms to the region on Monday into Monday night. Storms
could be severe with all modes of severe weather possible. At this
time, the greatest severe threat looks to exist near and south of
I-88. Heavy rainfall will also be possible which could lead to
isolated instances of flash flooding into Monday evening.
Strong and gusty north winds on Tuesday could result in dangerous
swimming conditions on Tuesday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the east southeast at 30 mph.
