Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Scattered thunderstorms are expected primarily west of I-55/355
this evening and again, south of I-80 late tonight. Some of the
stronger storms could produce locally heavy rainfall.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A strong weather system is expected to bring widespread rain and
thunderstorms to the region Monday afternoon into Monday night.
Some storms could be strong to severe with all modes of severe
weather possible, depending on location relative to a warm front
expected to set up across the region. Heavy rainfall will also be
possible which could lead to isolated instances of flooding into
Monday evening.
Strong and gusty north winds on Tuesday should result in
dangerous swimming conditions on Tuesday.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
