This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited hail risk...up to quarter-size.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 to 70 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this afternoon and into
the evening. These storms will carry a risk for damaging wind
gusts and hail, but a tornado or two will also be possible. The
main threat for severe weather exists south and west of a Mendota
to Rensselaer line late this afternoon and through the evening
hours. Heavy rainfall may lead to isolated instances of flooding
through this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

High Swim Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Isolated showers and a few storms will be possible on Tuesday
afternoon. Gusty north winds may result in dangerous swimming
conditions on Tuesday. Low thunderstorm chances will persist into
Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed later this afternoon and evening mainly
south of I-80.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 40 to 50 mph.
