This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk mainly along and south of I-88.
DISCUSSION...
Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible through early
evening, mostly along and south of I-88. Severe weather is not
expected, but some wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be possible
with the strongest storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Tuesday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
A thunderstorm complex may move out of Iowa and into northern
Illinois early on Tuesday morning and into the afternoon. A threat
for damaging wind gusts will exist with this activity, but the
track of this system remains uncertain. Locales south and west of
a Rockford to Gibson City line appear to have the highest threat
of strong to severe wind gusts at this time.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
