This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early
evening. A few of these storms may be capable of producing
large hail and damaging winds. A lull in thunderstorm activity
is anticipated this evening before a complex of storms is expected
to develop across Iowa overnight, then track into northern Illinois
late tonight into early Sunday morning. A damaging wind and large
hail threat will accompany these storms, along with the potential
for heavy downpours and localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday and Tuesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms may still be in place early Sunday morning, with a
few strong to severe storms still possible. Additional storms are
possible Sunday evening into Sunday night across much of the area,
with a threat of strong to severe storms also possible during this
time frame. An active pattern will persist into early next with,
with periodic thunderstorm chances expected through midweek.

Spotters may be needed tonight into early Sunday morning.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east-northeast at 25-30 mph.
