This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Elevated Fog Risk through mid-morning.
DISCUSSION...
A strong weather system is expected to bring widespread rain and
thunderstorms to the region this afternoon through tonight.
Some storms could be strong to severe with all modes of severe
weather possible, depending on location relative to a warm front
expected to set up across the region. However, damaging wind will
be the primary threat. Heavy rainfall will also be possible,
which could lead to isolated instances of flooding into this
evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
High Swim Risk

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...

Strong and gusty north winds on Tuesday should result in
dangerous swimming conditions on Tuesday.

Spotters may be needed late afternoon through this evening.

Moving toward the northeast at 30 to 40 mph this morning through
mid afternoon.
Moving toward the east at 40 to 50 mph late afternoon through
this evening.
