THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR North Central Illinois...
Northeast Illinois AND Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana will remain
in flood.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Wednesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A round or two of thunderstorms is expected to affect portions of
the outlook area Wednesday into Wednesday night but there is
still much uncertainty for that time period. Both rounds would
have the potential to produce severe weather, with hail most
likely early, and wind and hail both possible late. Neither round
of storms appears well timed to take advantage of peak heating,
with the first round arriving early in the day and the second
toward evening. There is also uncertainty about how much new
development may occur after the morning activity.

In addition, periodic bouts of thunderstorms are possible Friday
through the weekend. There does appear to be some risk of heavy
rainfall and severe thunderstorms in the region during this
period as a front stalls overhead, but it is a bit too far into
the future to pin down details.

Finally, portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana will
remain in flood through Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
