THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR North Central Illinois… Northeast Illinois AND Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Thunderstorm Risk late tonight...with an associated:      Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.

DISCUSSION:

An isolated non-severe thunderstorm is possible this afternoon over northwest Indiana. Better chances for thunderstorms arrive this evening from the west. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated at this time, but cannot rule out an isolated stronger storm or two producing large hail, mainly near and west of the I-39 corridor.

Portions of the Kankakee and Des Plaines rivers will remain in flood.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

Monday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.

Wednesday through Friday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A warm front will lift across central Illinois on Sunday and will serve as the focus for additional thunderstorms, some of which could be severe or produce heavy rainfall.

Portions of the Kankakee and Des Plains rivers will remain in flood.

Spotter activation is unlikely this evening and tonight.

Moving east at 25 to 30 MPH.
