…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois…

Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry

Counties

Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties

.Rainfall amounts of one to two inches across the Fox River basin on Sunday into Monday have brought rises that will continue. The Montgomery area had the most localized heavy rain and thus has seen the sharpest climb, but will also likely begin to fall by Tuesday. Additional rain through this evening is expected to only be scattered showers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Safety message…If you encounter a flooded roadway…turn around and find an alternate route.

The Flood Warning continues for

The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
  • until late Friday night.

  • At 230 PM Monday the stage was 9.8 feet.

  • Flood stage is 9.5 feet.

  • Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

  • Forecast…The river will continue rising to near 10.4 feet by Tuesday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Friday evening.
