THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR North Central Illinois… Northeast Illinois AND Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Thunderstorm Risk late tonight...with an associated:      Limited Hail Risk...up to quarter size.

DISCUSSION:

Chances for thunderstorms are expected late this evening through the overnight hours. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated but there is the potential for a stronger storm or two to produce large hail primarily near and and west of the I-39 corridor.

Portions of the Kankakee and Des Plains rivers will remain in flood.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk south.

Monday…

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk in northwest Indiana.

Friday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A warm front will lift across central Illinois on Sunday and will serve as the focus for additional thunderstorms, some of which could be severe or produce heavy rainfall across southern portions of the forecast area.

Portions of the Kankakee River will remain in flood. Portions of the Des Plaines River will remain in flood through Monday morning.

Spotter activation is unlikely through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving east at 20 to 25 MPH.
