THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR North Central Illinois...
Northeast Illinois AND Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana will remain
in flood.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Wednesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana will remain
in flood.
DISCUSSION:
A round or two of thunderstorms is expected to affect portions of
the area Wednesday and Wednesday night. There is a limited
potential for severe weather. Should severe weather occur, hail
is most likely hazard early Wednesday, wind and hail are both
potential hazards later Wednesday afternoon and night. Neither
round of storms appears well timed to take advantage of peak
heating, with the first round arriving early in the day and the
second toward evening. There is also uncertainty about how much
new development may occur after the morning activity.
In addition, periodic bouts of thunderstorms are possible Friday
through the weekend. There does appear to be some risk of heavy
rainfall and severe thunderstorms in the region during this
period as a front stalls overhead, but it is a bit too far into
the future to pin down details.
Finally, portions of the Kankakee River in northwest Indiana will
remain in flood through Wednesday.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
