THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of dense fog will continue through this morning mainly
south of Interstate 88. Areas of fog are again probable this
evening and tonight, with at least patchy dense fog possible.
Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

Elevated Fog Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk Thursday night.
Limited Snow and Sleet Risk Thursday night.
Friday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Saturday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Sunday and Monday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of fog will remain probable through Wednesday night, along
with the risk for at least patchy dense fog. Rain could change to
a wintry mix on Thursday night as colder air returns, with some
potential for minor snow, sleet and/or ice accumulation.
On Friday into Saturday, there is a chance for a significant
storm system to impact portions of the region with accumulating
snow and wind. If this storm does not impact the area, there is a
risk for accumulating lake effect snow into portions of northeast
Illinois and northwest Indiana Friday night into Saturday. Outside
of the snow potential, below zero wind chills will return Friday
night through Monday.
Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
