THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Fog Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk Tonight.
Limited Flooding Risk Tonight.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of dense fog are likely south of I-80 this morning, and
could develop area wide this afternoon and evening.
Showers and scattered thunderstorms are likely tonight, especially
after midnight. In addition to cloud to ground lightning, some of
the thunderstorms will produce very heavy downpours. Locally heavy
rainfall totals could result in localized minor flooding,
especially in low lying and flood prone areas.
In addition, localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on
area rivers.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk Monday Night.
Tuesday...
Limited Snow Risk in the morning.
DISCUSSION:
Scattered thunderstorms, some with heavy rain, will likely linger
into the morning hours Monday. The threat of locally heavy rain
will continue early Monday morning, with localized mainly minor
flooding remaining a threat. Additional isolated thunderstorms
are possible Monday afternoon and early evening.
Rain is expected to change to snow overnight Monday night. Snow
could accumulate Monday night, especially near the Wisconsin
border.
Finally, localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area
rivers.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
