THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Lake effect snow showers are expected to continue over southern
Lake Michigan. These showers are likely to move onshore
and impact portions of northeastern Porter County Indiana though
tonight. Additional snow accumulations of less than an inch are
expected.

Elsewhere, dangerous wind chills of 20 below to 30 below zero are
expected across most of northern Illinois and northwestern
Indiana away from Lake Michigan tonight.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.
Monday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Wind chills are likely to be 15 below to 30 below zero again
Friday night.

Accumulating snow is possible north of Interstate 80 Sunday and
Sunday night. Areas along and south of Interstate 80 will see a
wintry mix of precipitation that may lead to areas of accumulating
ice.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
