THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Light wintry precipitation will spread over the area this afternoon
and persist through the evening, ending from west to east overnight
and early Monday morning. A mix of mainly light snow and sleet is
expected north of Interstate 80 while a mix of light freezing rain,
sleet, and snow is anticipated south.

Travel impacts are likely where freezing rain occurs, and even where
just snow or sleet occur, patchy slick conditions are likely due to
the cold pavement temperatures.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk in the morning.
Limited Fog Risk at night.
Tuesday...
Limited Fog Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk at night.
Wednesday and Thursday...

Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
