THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of fog will continue today and tonight, with some dense fog
this morning and possibly dense again in places after dark.
Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Fog Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk at night.
Limited Snow and Sleet Risk at night.
Friday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Saturday through Monday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Tuesday...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Areas of fog are probable through Thursday morning. As colder air
returns to the area by Thursday evening, a wintry mix could result
in minor accumulations of snow, sleet and possibly light icing.
Areas favored for any accumulating wintry precipitation are
mainly along and southeast of Interstate 55.
Lake effect snow showers and at least some accumulation are
probable later Friday through Saturday for portions of northeast
Illinois and northwest Indiana. A fast moving weather system could
bring snow to the area Sunday evening into Monday.
Much colder weather is in store this weekend through early next
week, with periods of below zero wind chills likely.
Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
