THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Low wind chills of -15 to -30 will continue through mid-morning,
and are likely again in parts of the area tonight.

Lake effect snow may impact parts of northern Porter County in
northwest Indiana today.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday...
Elevated Snow Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

At least some of the area is likely to see wintry precipitation
on Sunday and Sunday night. While this is most favored to be snow,
some of which may accumulate, there is the potential for freezing
rain mainly south of Interstate 80.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
