THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Heavy lake effect snow showers will continue across Porter County
Indiana into this evening. Visibility under one quarter mile will
occur under the heaviest bands. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches in
under an hour are possible at times. Total accumulations near 6
inches are possible in spots. Slippery travel, snow covered roads
and rapid changes in visibility and road conditions should be
expected. Lake effect snow will shift to the east this evening.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
