THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Elevated Ice Accumulation Risk.
Elevated Snow and Sleet Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A mix of light freezing rain, sleet and snow will produce light
accumulations of ice into tonight. Though accumulations will
be relatively light, glazing on area roads, parking lots and
sidewalks will make for slippery travel and walking conditions
through tonight.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday and Tuesday...
Limited Fog Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Wednesday and Thursday...
Limited Fog Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Milder air will lead to melting snow cover and development of
fog and drizzle through mid-week. Some patchy freezing drizzle
may produce some spotty icing Tuesday night before temperatures
rise above freezing. After above normal temperatures during the
middle of the week, more seasonably colder air will return by
the end of the week and weekend.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
