THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Lake effect snow showers are expected to continue over southern
Lake Michigan. These showers are likely to move onshore
and impact portions of northeastern Porter County Indiana though
the day. Snow accumulations of a couple inches are possible.

Elsewhere, dangerous wind chills of 20 below to 25 below are
expected across most of northern Illinois and northwestern
Indiana away from Lake Michigan through the morning.

Wind chills are expected to be 15 below to 25 below again tonight.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday and Saturday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Wind chills are likely to be 15 below to 25 below again Friday
night.

Accumulating snow is possible over portions of the area Sunday
and Sunday night.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
