THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

Significant Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Lake Effect Snow Risk over northeastern Porter county tonight.

DISCUSSION:

Lake effect snow showers are expected to develop later today and
tonight over southern Lake Michigan. These showers are likely to
move onshore and impact portions of northeastern Porter county
Indiana though the night. Snow accumulations here of a couple
inches are possible by early Thursday morning.

Elsewhere, dangerous wind chills of 20 below to 25 below are
expected across most of northern Illinois and northwestern
Indiana away from Lake Michigan tonight.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.

Elevated Lake Effect Snow Risk over northeastern Porter county.

DISCUSSION:

Wind chills of 20 below to 25 below are expected across most of
northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana away from Lake
Michigan Thursday morning.

Periods of accumulating lake effect snow showers are likely over
northeastern portions of Porter county Indiana through Thursday
night.

Wind chills are likely to approach 20 below zero again Thursday
night and Friday night.

Accumulating snow is possible over portions of the area Sunday
into Monday.

Localized ice jam flooding will remain a threat on area rivers.
